Aloe harlana "Mosaic"
Susan Kent, March 2013
This tall (2') branched bloomer is the softest of the pink-rose toned flowers I can recall. The tip of each flower, prior to fully opening, is almost a blue-gray. The color of the leaves vary depending on soil, water, weather, and sun exposure. Mine and others I've seen locally are pretty intensely mottled dark and lighter brighter green --- some descriptions liken the pattern to "reptilian." This is too large for a window sill, but in a 2 1/2 gallon container, will bloom and could remain a house plant in very bright light. It is also stunning outdoors on a protected patio, and would be, of course, stunning in mass. Humming Bird Delight! (Native to Ethiopia)
