Haworthia resendeana

Susan Kent, February 2013

This plant forms what looks like little towers comprised of rectangular compact fleshy leaves. When it is ready to produce offsets, they appear at the base and almost immediately begin to form another tower. The leaves are dark green with tiny pin point dots. The margins are not smooth, just rough and not dangerous. Inconspicuous flowers are whitish with a tad of pink or lavender. That being said, a curious hummingbird will still seek and taste the tubular jewel. (South Africa)
