August meeting and newsletter

The Society meets at the Nevada Garden Clubs Center at Lorenzi Park August 5, 2010 at 7:00PM.  The board meeting will begin at 6:00PM.  All members are welcome.

The August newsletter has been posted.  July board meeting minutes are included.  Dick Askew contributes a note on the Totem Pole Cactus (Pachycereus schottii var. monstrosus).

Donnie Barnett is our speaker, presenting Cacti of the Northern Mojave and Adjacent Areas.  Donnie may have some items for sale so be sure to bring along a little cash for that as well as  for our famous plant raffle with Sam Valenti serving as MC.
